take action to assist Senior Citizens and disabled personnel from having to pay federal taxes on their Social Security.

Created by R.M. on September 17, 2014

We the people receive Social Security due to paying a premium for this coverage throughout our working lives. As part of our employment package, our employer also pays half of the premium unless we are self employed and pay the entire premium. I call it a premium since it is retirement insurance that is paid upon attaining the age established by Congress and signed by the President or if we become disabled. There are other benefits for children built into the policy. Most Social Security recipients rely heavily on this small monthly income to live on. I propose that Social Security, especially Social Security paid by disabled persons to include disabled military veterans should be received free of any federal taxes much like the disability compensation paid to U.S. veterans.
