take action to combat mental illness in this country.

Friday night May 23rd, 2014.....Isla Vista California, near the University of California, Santa Barbara a lone gunman opened fire killing at least six......losing his own life in the gun battle.
These shootings have become an all to common tragedy in this country and it is time that we addressed the underlying cause behind them.
Mental health in this country has to be dealt with, and now. Our prisons have become our new asylums and so many of our mentally ill go untreated everyday in this country. It is time to address this issue.
We need clinics and rehabilitation centers for the mentally ill, and we need them now. We cannot keep sending those with mental illness to prison and expecting them to get the help they need, it isn't working. We have to take action on this issue and now.
