For many years The New River has been contaminated. The flow of the river comes in from Mexico in to the United States, with heavy industrial waste factories in Mexico dump in it.
Research has proven that this river release toxins in to the air that have caused many residents of the area numerous health problems.The toxins are so dangerous that some residents have gotten cancer. Not to mention that a recreation park was build about 300 feet away from it.This also affects a lagoon known as the Salton Sea which the river dumps in to.
Mexico has tubed and underground this river many years ago. What holds the United States from doing it?
We the people believe that higher officials need to take action now in cleaning or covering The New River and stop carrying the problem any longer.
