The President vowed to act on the solution to this problem for which the federal government has full and sole responsibilty. Besides, the Presidential Task Force on Puerto Rico has concluded that the current political status is responsible for Puerto Rico's economic travails, not to mention the deprivation of political rights of nearly 4 million U.S, citizens who pay taxes and have served in our armed forces since WW I.
