Providing a response to petitions that qualify for one is not adequate. Most responses are not clear, and this discourages Americans from believing they matter. An immediate ACTION by the President should be the outcome of a qualifying petition.
Moreover, public opinion is more valuable than that of a congress representing them. Congress can put through whatever they want, but the public only gets a statement on a website. A statement that, at best, recognizes the problem.
We deserve action to be taken.
