Take action to prevent the misuse and abuse of prescription medications.

Created by L.K. on April 15, 2013

We are losing the fight against prescription drug abuse. According to the CDC, the death toll from prescription drug abuse has tripled within the last decade. The number of prescription painkiller overdose deaths is now greater than those of deaths from cocaine and heroine combined. This epidemic is taking lives, increasing the costs of healthcare, and destroying communities and families across America.

The Administration and Congress are not taking enough action to stop this epidemic. This inaction is a contributing factor to the worsening of prescription drug abuse. The introduction of legislation, drug abuse education, and an increase in public awareness are all actionable commitments to end this epidemic and protect the safety of our communities and fellow citizens.
