This is a petition to bring more awareness to "Black Thursday" and the entire "Black Friday" week. Black Friday used to be "Black Friday" where the family could go out after enjoying Thanksgiving and partake in special deals and possibly get something good. This was good for parents, and also something that had some luster as children.
In recent years, however, corporations have pushed to make Black Friday a weeklong event, and worse yet, they now require employees to work on Thanksgiving, a Holiday that most spend or want to spend with their family.
A company ca't be profamily and then force their employees to work a day meant to be spent with family, or else they will lose thier job. Please, stop this and stick up for families of hard working retail employees, and put an end to this.
