Take action to reform educational requirements of standardized tests and empower teachers to teach more effectively.

Created by T.C. on November 20, 2011

The educational system of the U.S. is built on the premise that standardized testing is a measure of a childs learning level and a school systems ability to teach. So much emphasis is placed on testing results that the child and the teaching professional are lost in the rhetoric of testing. This is a call of action to follow other countries, such as Sweden, where learning levels are based solely on the day to day teaching and testing within the classroom at the discretion of the teacher with no focus on state testing requirements such as TAKS. Statistics prove that countries inplementing this method are much more successful with their children. Make the goal for the teacher to teach instead of making the focus about standardized testing. Empower our children to learn and teachers to teach.
