Take Action to Renounce the College Board's Status as a Non-Profit Organization

Created by V.K. on January 04, 2015

CollegeBoard is a $700 mil private corporation in charge of a major part of the educational system. They administer the SAT test and AP secondary courses, essentially the requirements to get into a competitive college. Their monopoly on college entry both allows them to charge steep prices for testing and stymies our educational system. CollegeBoard's president was recently paid a $1 mil annual salary and the CollegeBoard corporation reportedly made $50 mil in excess money in one year. Their control on pricing curbs the educational system by biasing towards the affluent students who can afford tests and prep classes. For this reason, it is imperative that the government act to halt the CollegeBoard monopoly on education by revoking their controversial non-profit status.
