Politicians in Washington have decided that in an attempt to fix the deficit, they will "borrow" money from our social security benefits. This petition will force them to give up their lavish benefits (lifetime salary, 2 months vacation, etc), and rely on the same retirement programs regular Americans do. They have no right to take money we have worked hard to earn, after all, normal citizens are not the reason we are in such a financial crisis.This will also force them to take large pay cuts to help with the deficit. these people make $250,000 a year to represent us, yet they only do what the corporations want. If the money comes out of their pocket, maybe they will start looking for another solution. It is time to start taking our country back!
