The College Board was established to prepare high school students for college, a noble cause. However, it currently costs $95 to take an AP (Advanced Placement) test, and $49 to take an SAT test. The results for these two tests, which many top tier colleges use to take only the best students, are vital to high schoolers' futures. Through charging this much for each exam, the College Board makes over 65 and a half million dollars (2010).
The College Board, which calls itself a "non-profit organization", should not be labeled thus.
