Take away Congress' power to raise their pay. Leave it to the American people to decide.

This past election season it came out that political leaders weren't able to compromise on important issues but could all agree to raise their own pay. This is unacceptable. Why should the people we elect have the power to raise their own pay? Their pay should be decided by their bosses, the American people. This issue should be on the ballot every election and the American people would vote to either raise Congress' pay by a certain amount or decrease Congress' pay by a certain amount. This will help Congress focus on the issues and stop the partisanship that plagues Congress today.
