So many of the accidental and intentional shooting deaths of kids are caused by their parents or relatives being unable or unwilling to keep their locked up.
I would like to propose a law that would take away for life, the right to own any kind of firearm, to any adult who has proven incompetent in keeping their guns away from kids. While I do not disagree with being able to take your son shooting at the range at the age of 15, I disagree with him being able to take the weapon and use it any time he chooses to do so and take it to school to shoot whoever bullied him yesterday.
Have zero tolerance for transgressions. One time fail you lose your right to own a firearm forever. Too many have died needlessly because of incompetent and irresponsible gun owners.
