Girls have not been able to express themselves in the way that they want to at school. Girls are limited to wearing certain types of blouses/tank tops and bottoms because it is said that girls distract people (more specific: men). The school dress code is taking away a girls confidence. As it says in the constitution, we have the right to express ourselves and do what we want. In an article in the Huffington Post, it is said that schools mostly care about how a person looks than rather what is going on in a students brain.Enforcing a strict dress code can place the focus of school on clothing and rules. Taking dress-code-violating girls out of class and sending them home prioritizes the rights of the boys (to learn without distraction) over the rights of girls (to simply attend school).
