With grave economic issues, and inability to pass bipartisan legislation, pay raises ARE NOT warranted.
The "executive power" raises range from 1/2% - 1%. A pay-freeze was put into effect in 2010 by Obama. Nothing has changed (except higher taxes and lower income) that would come close to warrant a pay-raise. Currently, the debt is OVER $16-trillion. The average American will see taxes go UP and income go DOWN.
Mr President, we are struggling as a society mainly due to your, and Congress's inability to come to bi-partisan agreement. We are hurting here in the real world. Democrats and republicans alike need help. How can you justify your actions?
Show America you understand her pain and suffering. Washington is killing her day by day. We elected you to lead, not take advantage of us.
