The CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission) launched an attack on the companies that make small magnetic desktoys. In particular, Maxfield and Oberton, the makers of Buckyballs.
They forced a great company to sell out of their product, announce that they are no longer selling these adult desk toys, and employees lose their jobs due to the relentless attack. Buckyballs are a great ADULT toy, and Maxfield and Oberton complied with the CPSC on all accounts when it came to labeling their products.
Please, take control of the CPSC, because they seem to think that they can take responsibility away from the consumer. As the mother of a two year old, we know to keep these toys out of reach of our child! Why can't the irresponsible parents be punished, instead of an entire company?
