Health care providers have a legal duty to ensure that all individuals have equal access to quality health care and delivery of service pursuant the “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act,” and other health care laws and regulations. Healthcare providers are also required to comply with non-discrimination laws and regulations.
This petition calls for President Obama, Secretary Sebelius, and the Office of Civil Rights of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to take corrective actions against Iona Senior Services for its denial of equal access to health care and delivery service, and its incompliance of non-discrimination laws.
