It is time for Congress and the President to step up and make a sacrifice for their country! Instead of taking away from the military to "solve" the budget problem, we move that the Congress and President of the United States of America resolve the budget crisis by reducing their salaries to help make of the deficit.
It is not right to be revoking the pay and benefits promised to our past and present military members, especially without sacrificing some of the congressional and presidential salaries (past and present). This petition is to bring the government closer to our level and make the same sacrifices for themselves (reduced pay, health care, allowances and so on) that they are putting upon the military.
