America's 1960's poverty level only counts the cost of food. The other lives basics are not covered. This makes it just extreme poverty which is counted. When all of the bases are counted we escape human lack into real livable wages.

Move the 1960 rate of poverty to the rate which include Food, rent, repairs, day care, cost of work, transportation to work, doctors, and, to buy food. Include Heating and cooling, electric, clothes laundry, furniture, health care and other insurances, over the counter drugs and beauty aids, bathroom supplies, then gifts for loved ones.
