This website was a bad idea that was undoubtedly conceived by some very well-meaning person or persons - and the idea seems great - at first glance. A place where any citizen can make his or her desires known to the executive branch of our government.
Trouble is, you put it on the internet. And the trolls have found you, as you are already aware.
I hate to tell you this, but word is spreading fast, and soon you will be beset by every crank, wag, wit, wiseguy and idiot on the Internet. 4chan has become aware of it. Fark.com has become aware of it.
Most of the petitions on the site are already troll petitions - and I'll warrant that within another month or so, you won't be able to find a serious one among the vast heap of nonsense. Save your time, and my dime - take it down.
