Take down the We The People “Petition” website.

Created by J.G. on May 08, 2012

It is painfully obvious that if the administration simply uses this site to reiterate its positions on subjects presented in these petitions. The purpose of a petition is to force the government to change its position on policy. The most popular subject thus far has been ending the war on drugs/legalization. However despite the popularity of the subject the administration continues to simply provide the same talking points and deny the public any meaningful chance to change the government’s current stance on the subject. In fact I have not been able find a single instance of a petition successfully changing the administration’s stance on any subject addressed.

As such I believe the “Petition” website should be taken down and replaced with a “ask us our policy on this subject” website.
