Immigration is broken. The Visa process is a nightmare. One of the main issues with immigration policy and one of the contributing factors to illegal immigration today is directly attributed to the visa process. It is overly complicated and painfully slow. People who want to come here legally are punished. Spousal petitions at this time are being processed around 15 months or more. That is an unacceptable amount of time to keep families apart. We as a nation can do better. Spouses and immediate family of US citizens should be able to be processed faster and reunited with thier familes. We ask the white house to act to reunite familes and make this process less painful. People who want to come this country legally should not be deterred but rather encouraged.
