Right now US policy towards Serbia-Kosovo is incredibly one-sided. The US has supported unilateral independence of Kosovo Albanians, without regard to the Serbian population that lives within Kosovo's current borders. Northern Kosovo (north of the Ibar River) is de facto Serbian territory. It is overwhelming majority Serb and CONTINUOUS territory of Serbia. They have unequivocally rejected independence from Serbia and wish to remain part of her. The US is creating senseless ill will within Serbia without justification and is supporting a terribly unjust position. Time for the US to support a fairer position; support Kosovo's independence, but keep what is currently northern Kosovo as continuous Serbian territory. Respect the will of the people, and foster friendship- with both sides.
