While the discussion of gun control is riddled with debate and an overall non-action, a strong and thoroughly bi-partisan issue can be presented through legislation of ammunition control.
We can say for certain that limiting ammunition will save lives during such catastrophic tragedies such as we had on Friday December 14, 2012 in Newtown, CT.
A license to purchase specific ammunition will be required similar to that of a license to carrying any firearm. This license will help control the sales.
This should be seen as an actionable step that is agreeable from all points of view, as it will still preserve the Constitution.
While no one can say this is the best solution to cease these horrendous actions, it is a strong first step that can work and will keep the conversation alive
