Not enough is done to discipline police officers involved in brutal acts against those detained. Often times a police officer is given unpaid leave until the media stops covering the case. Only rarely does an officer get charged for anything following any acts of police brutality.
More should be done to discourage police officers from continuing to abuse their power.
