The SCOTUS has ruled that a defendant may have his/her silence used against them in court if said person had not yet been read their Miranda Rights.
This is completely absurd, and suggests that it is not one's "right" to remain silent until he/she has had their Miranda Rights read to them, and that somehow our rights do not apply if we were not made "officially" aware of them prior.
THIS IS NOT RIGHT OR JUST, AND IS NOT THE AMERICAN WAY!
Our rights as Americans are not limited to whether or not we have been made aware of said rights. This ruling severely undermines every Americans right to a fair trial, and is a blatant disregard for our 5th Amendment Rights, as well as our Miranda Rights.
Mr. President, It is your duty to protect our rights, and as Americans, we demand it of you!
