We the people ask the federal government to Take or explain a position on an issue or policy:

Take immediate, direct action to stop the killing of civilians in Aleppo.

Created by W.L. on December 14, 2016

As yet another ceasefire crumbles in Syria, civilians are once again caught in the crossfire between Syrian government and Syrian rebel troops, both of whom are killing indiscriminately. Beyond the already confirmed killings of civilians, this has the potential to turn into genocide in the city as Assad's forces continue to take over.

Do not let Aleppo become the next Rwanda or Srebrenica. We ask you to intervene, with or without the UN, to allow civilians to safely exit the city and to broker a cease fire that includes enforceable bans on civilian killing, ethnic cleansing, or death without trials.
