We the people, would like for the Administration to take a look at the current policies in place that are causing animal shelters to kill healthy and friendly dogs and cats because of overcrowding and lack of funding.
We feel that dogs can be put to good use for things like helping those that suffer from PTSD, local and federal law enforcement, and much more.
In addition, the current policies or lack thereof are not doing enough to control animal over population or discourage things like "Puppy Mills". Consider looking at Spay and Neutering policies and irresponsible breeding.
We ask President Obama to look at what can be done to help prevent thousands of killings a day at local animal shelters. In many cases, dogs are given only 7 days to be adopted before being put down.
