Take a look towards many european nations in regards to university and college education financing.

In the states we have absurd cost for higher education, that many times are unable to be effectively paid for by the youth coming straight out of college, many simply don't go to college because it is too expensive.In many European nations, students are at least given some guarantee of protection, some true help, etc. In some countries they don't even pay. While this would act heavily upon our taxes it would lead to a more educated society, as if higher education was more affordable, more would choose to follow that path. Think about how many future scholars, doctors, teachers, etc. Who never went through with their dreams because it was impossible to finance. I'm not calling for some crazy law to be put in, but I am at least asking that we take some hints. It's our future at this point.
