As it sits, Marijuana is considered by the Federal government to be more dangerous than Cocaine, Meth, Opium, Morphine, Oxys, Hydros, Ketamine, and Steroids.
This means that they believe weed:
1) Has a high potential for abuse/misuse;
2) Is not considered viable for medical use;
3) Lacks safety for use without medical supervision.
We the people simply do not subscribe to this "conventional wisdom". National statistics show that Americans are changing their minds about the thing we call weed.
We the people wish for this petition to serve as our formal request to the Congress, the Senate, and the President of the United States to change the laws about Marijuana. Eliminate penalties, cease imprisonment, and permit the possession and use of Cannabis, Hemp, and their derivative products.
