Misconduct from law enforcement officials has become a disturbingly more common trend in the United States. A law enforcement officer should not be able to assault a defenseless handicapped citizen, and face no consequences for such an action. Law enforcement officers should not be able to mistakenly raid the wrong house without a warrant, kill the family dog, then receive no penalties for misconduct. Those who enforce laws should have to follow the same laws they enforce, and should be held accountable for the same penalties as ordinary citizens.
