If an item on "we the people" reaches the 100,000 signatures threshold, the executive should do whatever it can within it's power to address the issue. We're tired of seeing politically calculated responses to legitimate concerns of Americans. We want and need action on these issues not just conciliatory "response". The legislative branch is currently completely broken, and this seems to be the only method to be heard and for action to be taken based on our concerns. The executive branch has the means to address many of the issues brought up in this venue and they consistently fail to do so, they simply issue a statement. When we sign here we do so in the hopes that something will be done. Without action on these issues "petitioning" here is a waste of time. Democracy requires action!
