The Civil War in Mali is a humanitarian disaster and needs to be stopped immediately in order to maintain relative stability in this strategically important part of North Africa. Just because Mali doesn't have oil or vital resources of immediate American interest, does not mean we should not help them. We cannot led Al-Qaeda gain ground in Mali. In addition to this e must protect the culturally significant ruins of Timbuktu.
