The largest problem our society faces is the lobbies, campaign donors, and rich elite determining what is or is not made into law.
Create a law that makes it illegal for any public-office holding individual to accept any gifts, money, donations, dinners, or anything of value from anyone in excess of $25. (just like normal Federal Employees are held to.)
Make the ban include campaign donations, lobby meetings, facilities, recreational activities, flights/travel, or ANYTHING that has inherent value at all. This ban should include the primary and secondary (sisters, brothers, parents) family members as well as the office holder themselves.
It should also be treason to accept non-diplomatic (State owned) gifts or items of value from ANY represetative of any foriegn entity.
