Instead of trading $1 trillion in Medicare for a $1 trillion dollar rise in the debt ceiling as put forth by Lamar Alexander and Bob Corker, make another tradeoff that will not affect seniors and the disabled. Cut foreign aid to ALL other countries with the exception of a natural disaster and use that money here. Also make a $1.5 trillion cut to the Dept of Defense and use those savings to raise the national debt limit.
