Politics in the United States revolves around money whether it's taking money for personal gain or raising money for campaigns. Companies can donate immense amount of money to a politician of their choice trough third parties making their involvement nearly anonymous. The lack of prosecution of the financial leaders responsible for the economic crisis of 2008 is proof that those with money have more influence on those who govern. Before any action can be taken on any issue the government must be fixed.
