Drug cartels are running the show in many parts of Mexico and the U.S., especially along the border. Although there are existing efforts, we ask the President to take bold action on fighting the problems of drug cartel operations and violence, which spill over into our country.
We need a fuller approach that includes addressing the demand for cartel-originated drugs, the supply of weapons and ammunition to drug cartels, and corruption in the political and law enforcement systems in both the U.S. and Mexico.
