Reports from ND on the treatment of water protectors by law enforcement are very worrying. In the past few days, we've seen reports of use of live ammo on horses, bean bag rounds and rubber bullets on activists, officers targeting medics, and activists being locked in dog kennels and stripped down.
This is in addition to the arrest and threatened imprisonment of journalists for reporting on the issue. DAPL is also accused of using an armed instigator to further raise tensions. This is a peaceful protest that could become a bloodbath if things continue like this.
