We the people ask the federal government to Change an existing Administration policy:

Take a no-tolerance approach to the Assad Regime's cease-fire violations in order to protect the children of Syria

Created by A.B. on August 19, 2016

Omran Daqueesh, 5, was pulled from a damaged building after a Syrian government airstrike in the city of Aleppo on Wednesday. The heartbreaking photographs taken of him in the aftermath of the bombing have become a symbol of the suffering of the Syrian people, and Syrian children especially.

The Assad regime is overwhelmingly responsible for the death and devastation of its own people, including children like Omran. The Administration can and must do more to protect them.

We request that the Administration take a more assertive role in Syria to protect and preserve children as a top priority, including focusing on defending opposition-held communities from attacks by their own government, and taking a no-tolerance approach to Assad's continued violations of the agreed ceasefire.
