Take "One nation under God" out of the Pledge of Allegance

Created by J.N. on January 29, 2014

The United States government has made our Pledge of Allegiance religious & the first amendment Constitution states we have the right to the freedom of religion. I realize that "one nation under God" does not violate our freedom of religion, because we can always opt out of saying it, but I, for one, would like to be able to say the pledge without sacrificing my beliefs. I feel that many other people, especially students who are forced to stand up every morning and say the Pledge of Allegiance, would like to be able to pledge allegiance to this country without pledging allegiance to God. I know this subject has been discussed numerous times, but I will not stop until "one nation under God" is taking out of our Pledge of Allegiance.
