We need to respect the fact that there are those who don't believe in god, and those of different religions. Forcing an oath to something as individual as god, on children and anyone at all seems to go against everything america stands for. If people want to keep saying "god" in the pledge that's fine, but I think officially it should say "indivisible", giving people the freedom to not have ideas of a specific religion combined with the oath to their country.
