My petition has been submitted in response to the reality of unequal vote representation in some states from years of redistricting done by republicans. There are actually some places in the country where it takes 2 and 3 democratic votes to equal the vote value of one republican vote. It is a civil right for there to be the promise of one person, one vote where all votes are equal regardless of party, location or economic status.
Fairness in voting and representation is vital for the health of our democracy.
