My petition involves taking out all STAAR tests. The reason why is i have seen throughout my high school students stressing and worrying about the fact that they might fail or when the testing day comes forget and stress over will i pass or will i struggle and not want to do the testing. It has happened to me and i have always thought that the STAAR does not really matter because in classes we learn about all of the subjects concepts and strategies on the tests. If the tests are removed students can focus on class and homework looking forward to further tests and the future like college and then not have to worry or stress on failing or even the fact that all the big and unimportant testing will get in the way of life.
