Sodium Nitrite has been a long time in our foods, the government has not regulated or changed its additive policies in decades. Sodium nitrite is the cause of 67% of cancers out there and is only a food coloring. The government has been petitioned before by the people, but was hushed rather quickly. They are aware of the harm , but they do not want to take the pay cut it will cause when the meats we eat such as bacon are sold in stores gray in color, which is how it comes out naturally.
