Just watched Last Week Tonight episode on YouTube on pennies, and after thinking for 5 minutes about what kind of business I could create to solve this problem of the millions and millions of pennies that are in circulation that are useless, I realized there is no way it could be profitable to collect them from around the nation. It would cost to much. Who is good at services that are not profitable? The government. That is why it currently costs 1.7 cents to make a penny worth 1 cent. Stop the bleeding already, spend the money to take the penny out of circulation, collect them and replace them with more nickels which would then be the smallest currency. In 1857, the US got rid of the half penny, time to make the next move.
