Take significant mesures towards enforcing the respect of fundamental Human Rights in Russia.

Created by R.D. on November 17, 2013

The Human Rights Watch organization have pointed out through out the years numerous infringements to the respect of Fundamental Human Rights by Russian authorities. (http://www.hrw.org/europecentral-asia/russia). These violations have to be taken very seriously because they constitue a direct threat to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Governments worldwide, particularly permanent members of the United Nations Security Council, do not seem to consider these allegations to their full appreciation. This is troubling knowing that there are currently 700,000 persons imprisoned in Russia, among them 70,000 would be victim of regular torture, abuses, as well as inadequate health care, sanitation, and food in prisons according to the U.S. State Department's 2012 human rights report.
