All the Pro-Metric people say that the U.S. is one of the few countries that do not use the Metric system. Have any of you fools ever been on an airplane where the pilot gives the height and speed in anything but U.S. Customary measures? Of course not! That's because any country in the entire world that has an airport or seaport is NOT fully metric, as they all are REQUIRED to use U.S. Customary measures
The Customary system uses weights and measures that are appropriate to what we are measuring. It just so happens that the world was not created in base 10! Almost every metric country the world over STILL has a lobby to get rid of it or relax it. We've got THOUSANDS OF YEARS of practice going against a few years of dorks trying to clean up their equations. Keep the Customary system!
