Anti-Muslim hate and Islamophobia are becoming serious problems in America and European nations. This form of hate is what was behind the "anti-Islam" video, Innocence of Muslims, and the main purpose was probably to provoke reactions and even to destabilize relationships between the US and Europe and young Arab democracies.
While anti-Muslim hate and Islamophobic "speech" are protected by the First Amendment in the US - we must understand that this type of hate speech is socially acceptable, whereas hate speech against Jewish people, people of color, Gays, sexist speech against women invoke strong rebuke and even provoke boycotts!
We need STRONG American leadership to condemn this hate speech in the International community!
