Take A Stand: Fight Against the Mexican Drug Cartels Close to Border Towns

Created by D.V. on November 11, 2011

Living in a small border city isn't something to laugh about. It has become a very frightening issue. My city is located 30 miles from the Mexican Border in Southern New Mexico. The closest Mexican City is Las Palomas which has become a hot spot for violence, a safe haven for drug lords, and a prime example of carnage.

A few months ago, a Priest was executed and his head was placed next to the town's gazebo as a sign to people: "Stop fighting against us or we'll kill you!" This priest spoke out about the violence and drug issues surrounding the city and was killed for it. Children are being kidnapped and killed, violence is spreading across the border, our ambulance services are being stretched to the limit, our SAFETY is at risk!
Mr. President please help us! We live in fear everyday!
