Recently, several banks and universities were the victims of cyber-attacks. Employee information was stolen and employees were instructed to contact the three Credit Agencies to put alerts on their Credit Reports to protect them.
NONE of the Agencies, Equifax, Experian or TransUnion, proved victims with numbers to actual agents. All victims were funneled through an impersonal automated system and were not allowed to speak to an agent unless they BOUGHT a credit report analysis from the company they called.
Credit Agencies should do their part to help victims NOT make the situation worse. They should give victims the opportunity to speak to an agent, NOT a computer, to have their questions answered and the service should be FREE.
Take a stand for the victims of cyber-attacks!
